What Are “Quick Cash” or “Homely Homes” Buyers—and Why to Think Twice

Quick cash offers may seem convenient, but they often pay only 50–60% of a home’s true value. For older adults facing sudden life transitions, this can mean losing a significant portion of their hard-earned equity. In today’s market, there are more profitable ways to sell- without upgrades or improvements.

Older adults should always be given all the facts before making one of life’s biggest financial decisions. This scenario can be true of a well-kept property, or even a home in foreclosure, or where hoarding has been an issue.

Presentation will include recent examples of how approaching this situation with full knowledge can protect the property owner from financial exploitation.
