The Minnesota Elder Justice Center invites you to the 19th Annual Minnesota World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Conference to be held at the Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center, MN, June 18th, 2025.

Registration Cost

This conference will offer 5.5 hours Continuing Education Credits for Social Work and BELTSS. The Minnesota Board of Nursing has approved our educational events as continuing education resources for nurses; however, the nurse is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education. POST and CLE are pending.

'Heroes of Adult Protection' Film Screening and Q&A with Series Producer Joseph Applebaum

Heroes of Adult Protection (HOAP) is a compelling docuseries dedicated to shedding light on the abuse of vulnerable and dependent adults. It showcases the critical efforts of Adult Protective Services (APS) professionals and their allies through impactful community initiatives. By sharing real survivor stories and invaluable expert insights, HOAP invites viewers to engage in meaningful discussions about how this initiative is fostering the creation of abuser registries, enhancing care regulations, and driving essential policy reforms in adult protection.

Joseph Applebaum is a television broadcast producer and documentary fillmmaker with over 30 years of experience in the national entertainment industry covering non-fiction media. Workshop presentations throughout the day will include an array of important issues related to elder justice.
