Veteran’s Affairs Fiduciary Program
Veteran’s Affairs’ (VA) Fiduciary Program was established to protect Veterans and other beneficiaries who, due to injury, disease, or due to age, are unable to manage their financial affairs. Upon determining a beneficiary is unable to manage his or her financial affairs, VA will appoint a fiduciary. The briefing will consist of an overview of the VA Fiduciary Program and it’s responsibilities, how to start the process of appointing a fiduciary, fiduciary responsibilities, and what to do when someone expects their fiduciary is misusing benefits.
