The Process of Civil Commitments in MN

Minnesota Office of the Ombudsman for Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities will share the basic concepts of statutory criteria with an emphasis on individual rights of proposed patients. Attendees will learn what defines commitments of mental health, chemical dependency (SUD) and developmental disabilities. Information will also be provided on peace/health officer authority and the emergency examiner hold.
