Evictions and Discharge from Nursing Homes and Other Facilities

The pandemic has had a devastating impact on residents of long-term care facilities. At the same time, it has also helped shine a light on how important eviction protections are for vulnerable populations in these settings. The governor’s executive order prohibiting evictions during the pandemic has helped thousands of Minnesotans who rely on stable housing to receive critical health services avoiding the further hardship and confusion that come with an eviction or discharge. When these protections end, residents of nursing homes and other settings will face questions and additional challenges if they are evicted or discharged. This webinar will review the basic eviction and discharge protections for residents of nursing homes and other long-term care settings in Minnesota. (1 CEU offered)
