Concepts in Capacity

MEJC Associate Director Marit Peterson, JD, will lead an introduction to the issues of capacity. In this presentation she will discuss the meaning of “capacity,” and its relationship to informed consent; explore the range of expressions of capacity, and the range of challenges or obstacles to that expression; recognize corresponding challenges to assessing capacity; distinguish purposes for assessment; and “confronting the challenges of application!”
