Judicial Branch Oversight of Guardianships and Conservatorships in Minnesota

Courts play in a critical role in protecting the rights, dignity, and assets of vulnerable individuals subject to guardianship and conservatorship. In Minnesota, after judges appoint a guardian or conservator, the court system oversees the appointment by reviewing ongoing reports, and responds to concerns about potential abuse, neglect, or financial mismanagement. This workshop examines the MN Judicial Branch’s role in supervising guardianships and conservatorships throughout the life of the case.
